I'm making a prototype on XD. Inside, I created different states on my components. When I import everything on ZeroHeight, I can't find the different states.
Is it possible to import them with the Zeroheight plug-in?
Unfortunately we don't currently support states as there's no way to import them from XD at this time. There are a couple of workaround options. You can try moving each component state onto individual artboards and upload them like that, or you could try uploading the different states as seperate versions and make everyone aware that by changing version they're able to see different states.
Hope this helps!
One somewhat annoying workaround: 1) create a master component with all the states 2) copy/paste that component to make individual states for zeroheight 3) rename each components by their state name so you can upload the individual components to zeroheight
It would be great to be able to nest states within a component in XD and see that nesting in zeroheight, but for now this is working for my team.
Personally, I think this is badly needed, creating various versions of the component to use on a file upload for Zeroheight is going to result in more maintenance and versions, which is what we are trying to avoid with a design system
My workflow to answer this same issue is to:
Why hasn't this been fixed yet? We've been waiting for at least 2 years! Get it done. It's a crucial thing for UX designers. It's basic table-stakes.
